Aquabot Pool Rover Review

Pool Rover? Huh? What's That?

If you had to summarize what this is, it's a mobile sump pump for your pool. Or, think of it as a pool Roomba. If that still doesn't make sense, basically pool rovers will roll around your pool cleaning it so you don't have to. It's a pretty nifty way to save thousands of dollars a year in pool cleaning costs. The Aquabot Pool Rover both vacuums and filters your pool, using a self-filtration system that prevents clogging, instead of dragging hoses around it does its own thing, while you watch or do something else! Even if you have a strangely shaped pool, the rover will figure out the lay of the land and is programmed to clean it all. Including the footprint marks you've created. It's the fastest way to clean your pool, and the best part you don't actually have to man the scoop and brush yourself!

Aquabot Pool Rover Review

I couldn't be happier with my pool rover. I've used other brands before, but the Aquabot takes the cake, I've had no problems with it. After two months it more than paid for itself in the time I would have had to spend cleaning my pool. The cleaning process takes about 2 hours, which is perfect since I can turn it on when I wake up, and by the time my kids are ready to swim, the pool is clean and ready for them! I've woken up before to inches of junk layering the top of my pool, which totally ruins any day you want to spend in the pool, but not since the aquabot has arrived on the scene!
The cleaning job it does is fantastic. It cleans out so much gunk I almost wondered if it was first adding bad stuff before taking it out, just so I'd be happy with it. my yard has a pine tree hanging off the far side, and though it's far away, my pool is always loaded with pine needles. Once in a while I have to clean out the filter bag a couple times and keep running cycles, but most often? one's enough. Maybe I need a bigger pool!

Using the Pool Rover

Using it is so easy, you just turn it on, drop it in the pool and watch it putter around. Once in a while it gets turned on its side, especially if your pool has rounded bottoms, just make sure you check on it at least once and push it over if it's flailing about. Also, make sure you remember it can get stuck near the pool ladders, so watch out when looking out the window to see if the cable is moving at all. The cable can get twisted up and knotted, but it's a minor quibble, and I don't see how it could be fixed. The pool still get cleans, and I don't have to do it myself, so I'll overlook that. Sometimes I sit out on the deck with a cold lemonade or beer if the wife isn't looking and just watch pool rover do his thing. One other thing I noticed is that having this device meant I saved a bunch on pool filter replacement, since the pool rover was doing so much of the work. In filters alone it'll pay for itself in a season, easily.

The maintenance on the device itself is very easy - I just make sure to switch up the cycles after every 1-2 uses, and clean out the filter bag. The filter bag comes out very easily and a little water in the bag cleans it right out. I have more trouble with the vacuum in my house! I'm trying to get my friends to pick them up to so we can race them. Instead of opening my pool up a week before the season and spending hours wrenching sticks, leaves, algae, and sand from the bottom, one day and 2-3 cleaning cycles is enough for the worst my pool can throw at pool rover and me.

If you think about how much time you spend cleaning your pool, at some point $400 that an Aquabot Pool Rover costs to get that time back and do other things makes a lot of sense - for me that's right now, and the pool rover has given me back so many summer time hours to spend with my family, actually ENJOYING my pool, while saving a truckload of money too.

When you look at the price tag for these pool aquabot cleaners, owners of resdential swimming pools really should not grumble, ok top of the range aquabot turbo t4 $1800 but, four five years plus down the road that robotic work horse is still at it, what do pool cleaning companies charge over the same period of time, how much of your own time would be spent cleaning. Great aquabot pool rover review. poolaquabot
